Millions of mourners are flocking to Iraq’s holy cities of Najaf and Karbala to mark Arbaeen, the 40th day after the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussain. This has prompted officials in Najaf International Airport to adopt an emergency plan to handle the unprecedented flow of visitors to Iraq, especially from neighboring Iran.
